Ravindra Jadeja shares a message for CSK fans after shoe flinging incident
The miscreants hurled shoes at CSK players during the game against KKR.
The Chennai Super Kings had a memorable return to their fortress at Chepauk. They beat the Kolkata Knight Riders in their first home game of the 2018 season in a grand manner. The moment Ravindra Jadeja clubbed one out of the park, the sea of yellow erupted as the home side had chased down the mighty total of 202. Certainly, it was a memorable win. Coming back to their home ground after two years, the Men in Yellow gave their fans a night to remember.
However, all of this will potentially not be seen in the season anymore. The sea of yellow will not surface the screens again in 2018. And the solitary reason behind this is the infringement of political activists in the sport. The state of Tamil Nadu has been at loggerheads with neighboring state Karnataka over the ‘Cauvery’ river water usage issue. With the central government giving their ruling in the favor of Karnataka, the activists in Tamil Nadu are left unimpressed.
Trying to seek the attention of the media and the government, some political parties and miscreants targeted the home matches of the Chennai Super Kings. In a very unfortunate incident, some protesters hurled shoes on the ground during the KKR innings in the match recently. The shoe fell near Ravindra Jadeja, who was fielding on the boundary line in the 8th over of the innings.
Also, shoes fell near Faf du Plessis and Lungi Ngidi in the game. Later, pictures of du Plessis carrying a shoe hurled at him went viral on the social media. In the aftermath that perspired, the officials have decided to move the CSK home matches out of Chennai now. This is indeed not good for the fans and the franchise. The cricketers are yet to give their reaction to this.
In a recent update, Ravindra Jadeja has become the first to come up with a remark on the same. Jadeja took to micro-blogging site Twitter to speak on the issue. In his tweet, he remarked that despite the miscreants hurling shoes at the players, the players still have a lot of love for their fans in Chennai.
Here is the tweet that Ravindra Jadeja posted:
“Still we have a lots of love and care for our csk fans. #fans #csk,” Ravindra Jadeja wrote in his tweet.
