Reports: MS Dhoni lands in legal trouble as FIR filed against him in Bihar police station
The court has transferred the case to Judicial Magistrate Ajay Kumar Mishra.
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni finds himself in legal trouble as an FIR has been filed against him and seven others in Bihar’s Begusarai district. The case has been transferred to the Judicial Magistrate Ajay Kumar Mishra after a hearing in the court. The matter involves a company named New Global Produce India Limited that Dhoni promoted.
An FIR was filed in Begusarai’s CJM’s court on Monday by a company named SK Enterprises. The matter is supposed to be of a bounced cheque amounting to INR 30 lakh, that was disposed to SK Enterprises by New Global Produce India Limited.
Reportedly, SK Enterprise received an order of Rs 30 lakh for fertilizers from New Global Produce India Limited. The order was delivered by SK Enterprise, but allegedly the dealer did not comply with the earlier agreement, which resulted in a huge amount of fertilizers remaining unsold. The company did take back the remaining products, and they even issued the agency with a cheque of Rs 30 lakh in return. But when the cheque was deposited in the bank, it bounced.
SK Enterprise sent a legal notice to New Global Produce India Limited, but they did not receive any response from the company. SK Enterprise’s owner, Neeraj Kumar Nirala decided to file an FIR against MS Dhoni and seven others after the non-compliance of New Global Produce Limited.
MS Dhoni blew hot and cold in IPL 2022
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni endured a tough time in the recently concluded IPL 2022, where CSK finished as the second worst team in the tournament. The defending champions were also surrounded by controversy when Ravindra Jadeja relinquished captaincy midway through the season. Many believed that there was some ‘power play’ involved behind the scenes. Similar rumours surfaced when CSK batter Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement via Twitter but deleted it quickly afterward.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan clarified by saying, “I spoke to him and he is not retiring. He was disappointed with his performance and that’s why he might have put out that tweet. But he has deleted it and he is definitely not retiring…,” Viswanathan told Sportstar.
