Rishabh Pant appointed as state brand ambassador of Uttarakhand

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand. The same was confirmed by Pushkar Singh Dhami, who is the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
Pushkar Singh Dhami took to Twitter to confirm the news. He labelled Pant as one of the best cricketers of the Indian side and added that Pant is the idol of the youth of the country. Dhami also added that Pant has been appointed as the State Brand Ambassador to encourage the youth to focus on sports.
“One of the best cricket players of India, idol of youth, and Lal Shri Rishabh Pant of Uttarakhand has been appointed by our government as “State Brand Ambassador” with the aim of encouraging the youth of the state towards sports and public health,” tweeted Dhami.

Rishabh Pant is gearing up for the series against South Africa
Rishabh Pant has been named in the Indian Test squad for the South African tour, and the 24-year-old is currently in Johannesburg. Pant last donned the Indian colours during India’s T20I series against New Zealand.
Pant has played 25 Tests, 18 ODIs, and 41 T20Is for the Indian side. While he has scored 1549 runs in his Test career, the swashbuckling batter has plundered 529 runs in the ODI format of the game. In T20I cricket, the left-handed batter has amassed 623 runs at a strike rate of close to 125.
Rishabh Pant is also the skipper of the Delhi Capitals side in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and was retained by the franchise ahead of the 2022 edition of the tournament. Pant has featured in 84 matches in the IPL and has scored close to 2500 runs at a fearsome strike rate of 147.46.
