The match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals brought all the entertainment as well as drama on the field during the last over of the contest. The bone of contention was Obed McCoy producing a high full toss which wasn’t adjudged no-ball by the on-field umpires. However, Rishabh Pant lost his cool in the same sequence and signaled his players on the crease to come back.

His actions were not supported by anyone and many big names in the fraternity criticized the same. In the same line, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer added his views and called Pant’s actions way out of line. The former cricketer explained that sometimes umpires do make mistakes but things should be taken sportingly. The fuel was added to the fire when Pant sent DC’s batting coach Pravin Amre on the field to have a chat with umpires.

“Rishabh Pant calling the players back was way out of line. We don’t want to see that. The game needs to go on. It’s understandable that sometimes umpires make mistakes and you got to take it in the spirit of the game,” said Wasim Jaffer while speaking on ESPNcricinfo.

Talking in the same sequence, the DC skipper has been fined with 100 percent match fees while Amre got banned for a game over match fees fine. DC pacer Shardul Thakur who also went furious in the same row has also been reprimanded. Their actions didn’t go well with the IPL authorities and they came up with a decision on the morning of 23rd April.
