Rishabh Pant celebrates the joy of Christmas with MS Dhoni in Dubai
Pant also posted a picture of the same on Twitter.
Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicket-keeper batsman, has had a tough time in the last few months. The southpaw is being deemed as a bright prospect, but he hasn’t quite made optimum utilisation of the talent he possesses. He has shown sparks of brilliances from time to time, but hasn’t shown consistency, owing to which he has had to face the wrath of the netizens.
In the recent ODI series against the West Indies, he made amends to some extent, getting a couple of decent knocks, including a fifty, to start with. But in the final match at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, he couldn’t make an impact. Despite the failures, Pant has gotten support from the team management that includes head coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli.
Pant having a hard time
Pant’s keeping prowess has also been criticized to a large extent. In crunch moments, he has let opportunities go and has been lambasted for the same. Lately, MSK Prasad, the national chief selector, said that the management will have Pant work under a specialist keeping coach.
Amidst his constant travails, Pant isn’t missing out on enjoying his time. On December 25, the world was immersed in the celebrations of Christmas. Pant took this time to go to Dubai and spend the festive season with MS Dhoni, the veteran Indian cricketer. He also posted a picture on Twitter.
Rishabh captioned the picture and wrote, “Wishing you a #MerryChristmas. May the festive season bring peace, joy and happiness to all.”

As far as Dhoni is concerned, he hasn’t been seen on the cricket field ever since India’s defeat in the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand way back in July. After the mega event in England and Wales, he went on a sabbatical and dates of his return aren’t quite known yet.
During this while, he has also served the Indian Army in the Kashmir Valley. In the meantime, there have been speculations surrounding when Dhoni will hang his boots from international cricket. A number of experts and pundits have had their say on the matter.
