India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has become the current favorite of fans and critics after his brilliant performances in the last three months. The maverick batter first scored an epic 89 against Australia Down Under to help the team secure a come from behind 2-1 series win, and later showed his class against a visiting England side as he blazed his way to his Test hundred to cap off a memorable return to the side.

Surely, Pant has form and momentum ahead of the ICC World Test Championship final (WTC) against New Zealand and a subsequent five-Test match series against England. The 23-year-old Pant has been named in the squad and is certainly India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman.

Recently, Pant is news for sharing a picture of his on the official Twitter handle. In the picture, Pant is seen wearing a dark brown blazer, white shirt and a blue tie. The southpaw can be seen showing off his left profile and seems quite calm and relaxed.

Soon the picture became viral and fans flooded his Twitter handle with comments. Popular Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, too, was impressed by Pant’s dapper look and commented on Pant’s Twitter post saying ‘Oh Ho Handsome’ with an emoji sporting black glasses.

Pant looking forward to continuing his rich vein of form

This is not the first time that Hooda has commented on Pant’s post. In March this year after India’s 3-1 series victory against England, the actor praised Pant’s performance by posting a picture of the wicketkeeper-batter in the whites and added a famous Hindi proverb alongside it  “Humne to poot ke paon palne me dekh lia tha,” which means predicting someone’s success during the initial stages of their career.

The 23-year-old will no doubt be one of India’s key players during the WTC final and during the England series. Pant can change the complexion of the match within a few overs and can also mix caution with aggression if needed.  New Zealand will clearly be wary of his attacking approach and would like to get his wicket early when they battle it out in the marquee clash against India starting on June 18 in Southampton.
