Roger Binny and Ravi Shastri have been sacked by BCCI after the Annual General Meeting: Former India cricketer Roger Binny has been removed as a member of the national selection committee while Team Director Ravi Shastri has also been removed from the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council (GC).

This comes after Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) move to address the conflict of interest issues in its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai.

Binny, whose son Stuart Binny is part of the current Indian squad, will now be replaced by another former cricket MSK Prasad as the South Zone selector in the committee. It has been said that Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is a member of parliament, has been included in the IPL Governing Council in place of Shastri.

In its AGM, BCCI has also decided to remove N Srinivasan as International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman and nominated the new BCCI President Shashank Manohar for the post.

Other developments have also been furnished, BCCI has also finalised the invitation to tender documents for the two new teams in the next two IPL editions which will replace suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

It has also been decided to leave out Jaipur and Kochi from the list of cities which will bid for the new IPL teams on December 8.
