Rohit Sharma credits his World Cup success to his family
Rohit Sharma is the only player to rack up 5 World Cup tons in one edition of the mega event.
Virat Kohli’s men continued their march in 2019 World Cup after their commanding win against Sri Lanka in the penultimate game of league stage. Again the bowlers did their part by restricting the opposition to a respectable total and then the top order batsmen took over. Especially Rohit Sharma who stroked his record 5th ton of the series and sustained his dream run.
Following his, on-field heroics the right-hander also shared his happiness on his social media accounts with an adorable family picture. Rohit Sharma has been in a rich vein of form with over 600 runs in 8 games which have already earned him 4 Man of the Match awards.
His consistency is one of the reasons why the Men in Blue has stormed into the knock-out stages of the championship. It seems that in recent times the Indian vice-captain has even trounced the No.1 ODI batsman of the world, Virat Kohli.
Complete family man
In the last couple of years, Rohit Sharma has achieved some monumental feats in white-ball cricket. He is breaking batting records for fun and most of the time the Mumbaikar has credited his family for his success. This time the BCCI has allowed the families of Indian cricketers to travel with the team which has worked wonders. In such a high-pressure tournament the players need to relax and savour the moments rather than constantly thinking about the game.
That’s exactly what has happened in Rohit’s case as he is enjoying his time in England with his near ones. It includes his wife, Ritika Sajdeh and his toddler daughter, Samaira Sharma. Rohit has even admitted in his post-match talks how his dear ones have helped him remain fresh. After the game against Sri Lanka Hitman showered the praise on his family with a beautiful message on his twitter handle. The post contained images of his wife and daughter cheering for him in white attire.

The dashing opener has clearly benefitted from his family presence on the tour and who knows his 8-month-old daughter might be the lucky charm of the Indian team.
