Rohit Sharma holidaying at an exotic location with his wife after winning the Nidahas Trophy

India won the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka under the leadership of Rohit Sharma by defeating Bangladesh in the heart-wrenching thriller. While the skipper himself led from the front with a half-century during the chase in the final, it was Dinesh Karthik who stole the show for the Men in Blue. He smashed 29* off just 8 balls and delivered  an improbable victory for his side. The victory was yet another feather in the cap of Rohit Sharma while leading the team in T20 matches.

However, the dynamic opener of the Indian team seems to have decided to take some rest after his busy schedule ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rohit hasn’t got the rest for a long time now and has been tipped to lead the side in the absence of Virat Kohli in the low key matches.

His wife Ritika Sajdeh has shared an adorable picture of both chilling out at an exotic location and they seem to have a great time together.

Rohit Sharma deserves the rest after playing back to back matches in Sri Lanka recently. He was also the part of the Indian squad in all three formats which travelled to South Africa for 3 Tests, 6 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals. This is a much needed break for the cricketer as he will be leading the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season of IPL. They are set to lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener of April 7 in front of their home crowd at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

As a skipper, Rohit is the most successful captain in the history of the Indian T20 league. The franchise has won the coveted title thrice under his leadership and he would love to do the same this year as well. However, as of now, the stylish player is holidaying with his wife and the couple is having a gala time together.
