Royal Challengers Bangalore unveil their new jersey for IPL 2020
RCB batsmen are likely to don golden helmets in IPL 2020.
Royal Challengers Bangalore took to Instagram to unveil their new jersey. The franchise recently introduced golden helmets to their kits which are making an appearance after many years. The RCB players have started practicing after completing the mandatory self-isolation.
The players including captain Kohli were seen on the field donning their new kits. RCB became the second franchise to unveil their new jersey this season, as Mumbai Indians already revealed their outfit earlier.
The traditional red and black colors make an arrival, while the logos of Muthoot Fincorp and Myntra, along with the club crest, are exhibited on the front. Captain Virat Kohli, South African legend AB de Villiers, and Indian stars Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, and Parthiv Patel are posed with the jersey on the picture posted by RCB.
RCB captioned the Instagram post, “Time to don the Red and Gold. Face the challenge and #PlayBold. Onto the battlefield astride. With all our might and all our pride!”
RCB’s struggle to win their first title
RCB has been one of the most unfortunate sides of the Indian Premier League. The Bangalore franchise has played three finals of the cash-rich league but has never found the gold. The team led by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli will be looking to clinch the much anticipated first IPL title.
After reaching the final in 2016, the team has struggled to reach the playoffs in the last three seasons. With the tournament shifted to UAE this year, RCB may find the conditions favorable for them. Their bowling line up has a great mixture of spin bowlers and their team highly relies on their batting line up. As the conditions are dry in the middle east, RCB would look forward to the extravaganza this year.
RCB might play the first match of the season as well. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings were expected to play the first game, but, as the Chennai Super Kings’ support staff and a couple of players have tested positive for COVID-19, the schedule might change. The BCCI is looking to add another existing team to play the first game instead of CSK.
