The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 continue to produce thrilling matches as the Royal Challengers Bangalore got better of Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs on Monday. Devdutt Padikkal, AB de Villiers and Jonny Bairstow were top performers with the bat during the game while Yuzvendra Chahal and Navdeep Saini bagged five wickets between them and played a role in turning the game into RCB’s hands. The matchday 4 of the IPL 2020 will be between the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings in Sharjah.

Schedule troubles for RR vs CSK:

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s second game will be on matchday 8 hence removing a couple of players from their side is justified. Chennai Super Kings will play again on matchday 7 which is why we can pick a couple of CSK’s top performers from the tournament opener. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals don’t feature in the next four matches hence not more than two can be picked from their team either.

A high-scoring match on cards?

Sharjah Cricket Stadium, over the years, has been UAE’s highest-scoring venue in the T20 format. The ground does have short boundaries, unlike Dubai and Sharjah which gives a possibility of even 200+ totals. During the 2019 PSL, the teams regularly crossed 150-run mark and chasing those was turned out to be quite easy as well.

The Jofra impact in RR vs CSK:

Jofra Archer’s pace has had created troubles to the Chennai Super Kings’ batsmen in the past. Hence, he will be the best option from the Rajasthan Royals’ team to be picked in the XI. The likes of Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni become uncomfortable against Jofra. It could extend to the overseas stars if Archer finds proper rhythm with the new ball.

Safe team for RR vs CSK:

We have picked three of Chennai Super Kings’ top performers during the tournament opener – Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu and Lungi Ngidi. Considering CSK’s bowling unit and pitch conditions, we expect Steve Smith to have a good game leading the Royals.

Risky team for RR vs CSK:

Riyan Parag has shown the potential of being a reliable middle-order batsman in the previous IPL. He could even chip in a couple of overs with his leg-spin if needed during the game. Hence, the two RR players we have picked for this game are Riyan and Jofra Archer.
