The year 2013 turned out to be a curse for fast bowler S Sreesanth as he was found guilty of spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League, playing for Rajasthan Royals, along with a few other players. Thereafter, he hasn’t played a single competitive match as the shambolic incident turned his career upside down.

He didn’t drop the gun and trained tirelessly to keep up with the desired level of fitness. The 35-year old has gone through a transformation and now boasts of a toned physique. Recently, he also made a comeback to cricket in a local cricket tournament. He was later seen in a cricket jersey with his name engraved on his back. He was also wearing blue trousers.

He didn’t disappoint on the field as well. While bowling, he embarked on his usual run up and was focussed on the delivery. He was upright and bowled from close to the stumps. The ball pitched on and around the off-stump and caught the batsman off-guard. The batter poked at it tentatively and fell prey to the speedster. Quite expectantly, Sreesanth erupted in joy after the dismissal.

Here is the video posted on Sreesanth’s official Instagram account

Sreesanth made his international debut in Nagpur when Sri Lanka toured India for a seven-match ODI series back in 2005. The fast bowler picked up four wickets in as many matches. Albeit he finished with an economy of 6.15, he was touted to be one of the brightest prospects of Indian cricket. In the subsequent year, he made his Test debut as well against England in Nagpur.

He also played India’s first ever T20I when they locked horns with South Africa at Wanderers in Johannesburg in 2006. He was also a part of the victorious squad that won the 2007 World T20 in the Rainbow Nation. His catch to dismiss Pakistani batsman Misbah-ul-Haq in the final of the tournament will be etched as one of the more memorable moments. He made his last international appearance in 2011.
