It is a known fact that Indian pacer S. Sreesanth failed to bag IPL bid this year as he returned to competitive cricket after long, serving a ban from BCCI. However, the pacer is in best action in Vijay Hazare Trophy for his home side Kerala and took a fifer only a few days back. He has again bagged all the limelight after he clinchéd a four-for to his name in the List A tournament in a match against Bihar.

Sreesanth was sharing the new ball with Jalaj Saxena and had the stumps twice in his very first over. He uprooted Bihar’s openers in the second over of the game and got another breakthrough in the 13th over of the game. His four-for got completed in the 19th over of the game, and he had the figures of 9-2-30-4. The top-class pacer had his spell with two maiden overs in the game.

The Kerala pacer received all the support from all-rounder Jalaj Saxena who scalped three wickets, and due to their combined efforts, the Bihar was bowled out on 148 runs. In return, Kerala didn’t have any difficulties in chasing the target as they went past the requirement in 8.5 overs. Robin Uthappa continued his stellar form with the willow as he played an unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 42 balls, which was laced up by 10-sixes and 4-fours.

With their comprehensive win, Kerala finished the league stage with four victories out of their total five matches. They are currently placed in the second spot and waiting for the results of other teams to get confirmed whether they will be playing the next round of fixtures. Talking about Sreesanth, he finished the league stage with 13 wickets under his belt, which makes him the second-highest wicket-taker currently.

He last played in IPL in 2013 for Rajasthan Royals and has 40 wickets to his credit in 44 matches. Franchises might be looking out for him as a replacement bowler when the league gets in the action.
