The Bigg Boss Season 12 got underway yesterday with a number of eminent personalities gracing their presence in the event. Salman Khan, the renowned actor in the Indian film industry is hosting the show for the ninth time. The launch episode was titled as Bigg Boss Night. In the meantime, discarded 35-year-old Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth is also taking part in the event.
He was the final participant on the show, which is being aired on Colors. Prior to entering the show, the Kerala-born speedster revealed the reasons behind his entry in the show. Moreover, he mentioned that he earlier tried to take part in the 2011 edition as well, a couple of years before he got himself tangled in the crime of spot-fixing in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
I am happy to be doing this
“The show is as real as it can be, there is nothing to hide. I would have loved to do it in 2011 but it did not happen. I have been associated with the channel and I was sure sooner or later I would be doing the show.
I am happy to be doing this because everything about my non-cricket career is getting sorted. I have done four movies already, so the artistic side of mine is coming to the fore,” Sreesanth was quoted as saying in Mumbai Mirror.
When he forayed in international cricket back on October 25 in an ODI against Sri Lanka, he was touted to be one of the brightest prospects in Indian cricket. Thereafter, he went on to play 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is for his nation in which he notched 87, 75 and seven wickets respectively.
However, following the 2013 IPL, the seam bowler hasn’t been able to stake his claim back to competitive cricket. Meanwhile, he trained hard in the gymnasium and got himself a chiseled body. His last donned the national colours back in the 2011 World Cup final against Sri Lanka.
