SA vs IND: Mohammed Siraj pulls off Cristiano Ronaldo's famous Siuuu celebration in Centurion
Siraj's happiness knew no bounds after picking up a wicket.
India and South Africa are currently battling it out against each other at Supersport Park in Centurion in the Boxing Day Test. The game has moved at a rate of knots on Day three (December 28) after the second day was washed due to rain. With less than half a day’s play done, already 11 wickets have fallen with the visitors dominating the proceedings despite enduring a collapse with the bat in the first session.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, all three pacers, have spit venom with the ball on the responsive Centurion pitch. The trio has been amongst the wickets as well with Siraj also scalping a crucial wicket of Rassie van der Dussen in the third over of his spell in the first innings.
Siraj bowled a fuller delivery which was wide outside off and could’ve left alone as well. But Van der Dussen looked to play a defensive shot only to edge it to gully fielder Ajinkya Rahane who took a good low catch. This is when Mohammed Siraj unfurled Crisitano Ronaldo style celebration.
He performed the famous ‘Siuuu’ which Ronaldo does after scoring every goal. The word ‘Siuuu’ is originated from the Spanish word Si which means Yes. Ronaldo himself confirmed the meaning of his celebration back in 2019. Siraj’s happiness knew no bounds after picking up a wicket and was quick to perform the famous Siuuu celebration.

India pick four wickets early in the innings
Earlier in the day, India resumed at 272/3 but lost their last seven wickets for just 54 runs to get bundled out for 327 runs in their first innings. Lungi Ngidi starred for South Africa with a six-wicket haul while Kagiso Rabada scalped three. However, little did the hosts know that India will come all guns blazing with the ball. Jasprit Bumrah struck in the very first over of the innings nipping out Dean Elgar.
Mohammed Shami then picked a couple of wickets sending back Keegan Petersen and Aiden Markram before Siraj dismissed Van der Dussen and unfurled the famous celebration.
