We are all eagerly waiting for the big release of Sachin: A Billion Dreams on 26th May- a documentary biopic based on the life of none other than the great man Sachin Tendulkar. With so much buzz going around the nation, Chhattisgarh and Kerala have declared that the film will be tax-free in these two states. In compliance with the government policies, the decision was taken by the cabinet of each state.
The movie is expected to reveal some interesting facts which we might not have witnessed or known before. During a chat with CNN-News 18 a few days earlier, Tendulkar revealed that there are certain aspects of the film which people won’t know ever. He also conceded that the movie will reveal what went through in his mind during the toughest period in his career.
“We have got everything in it, I have revealed what was going on in my mind at the lowest point of my career,” Sachin had said. Meanwhile commenting on the Tax-Free Policy of the state, the producer of the film Ravi Bhagchandka said that the film is a tribute to the hard work and determination of a cricketer which will inspire people from all walks of the fields.
“We are very pleased that Sachin: A Billion Dreams is tax-free in the states of Kerala and Chhattisgarh. The film is a tribute to the hard work and determination of one individual, but it is also an inspiring lesson for the youth of today, who clearly needs a real-life hero, to prove to them that success comes to those who strive, against all odds. Thanks to the tax-exemption in these states, many more people will be able to watch the inspiring story of Sachin Tendulkar, and learn from/about how he overcame the darker, more testing phases of his life,” he said.
Tendulkar realised his dream of lifting the coveted World Cup trophy after 22 years of his international career. The minute details of the triumph will be revealed through the film. “I had to wait 22 years to achieve my dream of winning the World Cup. There were five World Cups in between. Not just me, but the whole team was working together towards achieving that dream,” Sachin had said.
