Sachin Tendulkar advises Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh to enjoy the new phase of their lives
Rohit, who is currently with his family, will join the Indian team in Australia on January 8
The vice-captain of India’s limited-overs team Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh were blessed with a baby girl on December 30. The former was in Australia at that moment and on the same day, India had registered their first Boxing Day Test victory at the MCG. The happiness doubled in the camp as Rohit became the father and the cricketer soon left for home before the fourth Test.
He is set to miss the final Test match in Sydney but will be more happy for meeting his wife Ritika and newly born daughter. Rohit will join the squad again on January 8 ahead of the ODI series against Australia. Though no pictures of the baby girl have hit the social media yet, there is a lot of excitement in the air about the new phase of the couple’s lives.
Sachin delighted for the couple
Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar was extremely delighted after he came to know about Rohit Sharma and Ritika being blessed with a baby. He congratulated both for starting the New Year in the best possible way also suggested the adorable couple to enjoy the most exciting phase of their lives.
“What a lovely way to ring in the new year for @ImRo45 and @ritssajdeh. So happy for you! Enjoy this phase of your lives,” Sachin wrote in his tweet while also sharing a beautiful picture of Rohit and Ritika.
For Rohit though it will be tough to return emotionally. After coming back, Team India will be busy again playing as many as 11 limited-overs matches (8 ODIs and 3 T20Is) against Australia and New Zealand. The three-match ODI series against Australia will commence on January after which the Men in Blue will face the Kiwi challenge in five matches. Both these contests are crucial with World Cup only a few months away which will be played in England.
