Sachin Tendulkar praises Ranveer Singh for soaking in Kapil Dev's traits well in '83, actor comes up with a heartening response

The recently released ’83 movie that traces the journey of team India to their first-ever World Cup triumph has been highly loved by the audience. It is a no-brainer that cricket rules the Indian imagination and a film that took one through the torrent of emotions of the team under Kapil Dev that went on to create history helped the fans discover an elusive tale.
India’s legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar thus took it to his official Twitter account to heap praises on Ranveer Singh who portrayed Dev in the sports drama. He stated that the Bollywood actor aced at his role and soaked in all the traits of the former India captain very well. He further added that it helped the on-lookers to relive the historic triumph of India.
Tendulkar shared Singh’s picture from the movie and also added a fitting caption to it. “A brilliant ‘all-round’ display by @RanveerOfficial in 83. Really soaked in all the @therealkapildev paaji traits to make us reminisce the iconic moments of our first-ever World Cup victory. I know the win really inspired the little boy. 😉,” the caption of the post read.

Getting words of appreciation from one of the greats of the game undoubtedly would have been special for the actor. He seemed to be overwhelmed by Tendulkar’s words and thanked him for the praises. He also asserted that the little master who got inspired after the 1983 World Cup win has gone on to inspire several generations.
