Sachin Tendulkar writes an emotional tweet after Pulwama attacks
Former opener Virender Sehwag also expressed pain at the incident and wished a speedy recovery to those who are still fighting for their lives.
In one of the deadliest terror attacks against the Indian paramilitary forces in decades, At least 40 soldiers lost their lives on Thursday in Pulwama, Jammu. Condolence messages have been pouring in from all quarters for the family of the bereaved and cricketers too have joined in and condemned the inhuman attacks.
The responsibility of the attacks has been claimed by Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). In an emotional message, the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar condemned the attack. The batting legend wished a speedy recovery to the injured and sent his condolences to the family of the deceased soldiers.
“Cowardly, dastardly, meaningless…… my heart goes out to the families of those who lost their loved ones and prayers for recovery of those brave hearts in hospital. Salute to your commitment to Service and Loyalty’ @crpfindia,” Tendulkar wrote on social media.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya also condemned the attack and grieved over the death of the CRPF personnel. “Disturbed by the incident in #Pulwama. My thoughts are with the families and friends of our brave CRPF jawans, who laid down their lives for the country. Let’s all do our bit to help the families during their dark hours and remember the soldiers in our prayers,” he wrote.

Gautam Gambhir wants strict action against the perpetrators
Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has urged the Indian government to take strict actions against the perpetrators of the attack. “Yes, let’s talk with the separatists. Yes, let’s talk with Pakistan. But this time conversation can’t be on the table, it has to be in a battle ground. Enough is enough. 18 CRPF personnel killed in IED blast on Srinagar-Jammu highway (sic),” the former India opener had tweeted.
As of now, the death toll has increased to 40. The deceased soldiers were traveling in a truck when a car loaded with 300 kg of explosives rammed into it on Thursday afternoon.
