With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 now postponed due to the COVID-19 virus, the Indian players are gearing up for the ICC World Test Championship against New Zealand next month. Team India have been exceptional in the inaugural WTC cycle as they defeated giants like Australia, England, and South Africa in their campaign. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah played a crucial role in taking India in the summit clash, and he would be raring to shine in the finals.

While Bumrah would be preparing for the ultimate game, his wife Sanjana Ganesan has some other ways to spend time. On Saturday (May 22), Sanjana took to Instagram and shared a video of her grooving to popular English song ‎ ‘Desce pro Play.’ In the transition video, the TV presenter can be seen doing many activities like dancing, reading books, and even doing yoga.

For the unversed, Bumrah and Sanjana tied knots on March 15 earlier this year. At that time, India was hosting England in a full-fledged tour. Bumrah had pulled out of the fourth and final Test and the subsequent white-ball series citing personal reasons. Later, the news broke out that Bumrah and Sanjana got married in a private ceremony in Goa. Ever since then, Bumrah’s fans have been closely following Sanjana and her social media activities.

Challenges lie ahead of India ahead of WTC final

Meanwhile, Team India will fly to England on June 2 where they have to serve a 14-day quarantine period. With the WTC final getting underway on June 18 at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, Virat Kohli’s men will not get much time to get in the groove. Moreover, many players in the Indian squad like Shubman Gill, Mohammad Siraj haven’t played Test matches in England. Hence, it would be interesting to see how Team India will tackle these challenges.

On the contrary, New Zealand have a great chance for preparation as they’ll take on hosts England in two Tests prior to the WTC final. Hence, Kane Williamson’s men can adapt to the England conditions and also identify their best playing combination. However, the Kiwis will be up against the top-ranked Test side, and they’ll have to unleash their A-game.
