Many cricketers have come forward to aid in the battle against the pandemic. Along with contributing with money, players are also finding new ways to raise funds. Jos Buttler also followed a similar path as he decided to auction off his 2019 World Cup final jersey. The 29-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman had played a key role in England‘s thrilling defeat of New Zealand at the Lord’s.
“I’m going to be auctioning my World Cup Final shirt to raise funds for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals charity. Last week they launched an emergency appeal to provide life saving equipment to help those affected during the Covid-19 outbreak. Link to auction in my bio,” wrote Buttler on his Twitter account.
