Kevin Pietersen is one of the finest batsmen England has ever produced. His batting used to leave even the opposition in his awe and played some of the mind-boggling knocks during his illustrious but controversial career. After an unceremonious end to his career, Pietersen turned to commentary and has done an exceptional job in that aspect as well.

Moreover, his relationship with the Indian players is well known to many. Pietersen was the one who always wanted to play the Indian Premier League (IPL) even when the ECB was against it. During his playing days, he was on good terms with the Men in Blue and was seen sharing light moments with the players on the field.

On Saturday, Kevin Pietersen recalled his playing days when MS Dhoni was the India skipper and posted a picture with him. Both the players could be seen chatting to each other when the former was batting. While there is nothing special in the picture shared, the former England cricketer made it a hilarious one with his caption.

Kevin Pietersen’s hilarious caption leaves fans in splits

Kevin Pietersen pretended as if he is telling MS Dhoni to set the field for him as scoring runs against India is so easy. “Hey, MSD, why don’t you put a fielder over there for me? Scoring runs against you guys is so easy…!” the caption read. While this was KP’s way to have fun, the 39-year-old really had a brilliant record against India during his playing days.

He scored 1138 runs in 28 ODIs against the Men in Blue at an impeccable average of 45.52. Interestingly, he could only score a solitary ton in these matches and also picked three wickets. The average goes up to a staggering 58.55 when it comes to Tests as he amassed 1581 in 16 matches with as many as six centuries which also includes an unbeaten double hundred (202*).

Kevin Pietersen also played one of his best knocks in the Mumbai Test during the 2012 tour to India. Recently, he also rated that innings as the second best of his career.
