Shah Rukh Khan will be present for KKR-MI clash at the Eden Gardens
Shah Rukh has missed all their matches except the opening match against the Gujarat Lions
After losing 3 out of their last 4 matches Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be looking to finish on a high with a win against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday when the two teams lock horns in the last game at Eden Gardens. They will definitely get heart from the fact that their principal owner Shah Rukh Khan will be present for their last home game.
Shah Rukh has missed all their matches except the opening match against the Gujarat Lions and his presence will certainly encourage the KKR team to come out all guns blazing. Shah Rukh’s presence will also increase the demand for VVVIP passes to catch the glimpse of arguably the greatest movie icon in the country.
“You are going to see him [SRK] on Saturday. He’s coming with a big entourage. He’s looking forward to it,” KKR CEO Venky Mysore said during the sidelines of a promotional event. Shah Rukh was present for KKR’s first match at Rajkot and KKR romped home by 10 wickets They will be looking for a similar sort of a performance against the mighty Mumbai Indians in their last group match which will help them finish among the top 2 slots.
Busy schedule not allowing Shah Rukh attend more matches
Mysore conceded that with such a busy schedule it is practically impossible for “The Badshah of Bollywood” to be present for all the matches. “I know the pressure he’s going through. He has just completed the schedule of a big banner film and has started another one. He went to Canada for a TED Conference and then was honoured at the San Francisco Film Festival. He was a special invitee. I don’t know how he does it. But he keeps up with all our games, you can see it from his tweets,” quipped Mysore.

KKR were going along nicely in the tournament and occupied the top spot but they have complicated things after 3 losses in the last 4 games, they are in serious doubts over the first two positions. They have almost qualified for the playoffs but a win on Saturday will give them a chance to finish at the top 2.
