Pakistan cricketer Shaheen Afridi has opened up on the three batters who would comprise his dream hat trick. The left-arm seamer said that the Indian batting triumvirate of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli will make his dream hat trick.
“Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli,” said Shaheen Afridi on the show 25 questions hosted by ESPNCricinfo. Shaheen Afridi also said that his performance with the ball against the Indian side in the 2021 T20 World Cup was a special one.
Adding that it was a historic occasion, Afridi revealed that performing against the Indian side was the highlight of 2021 for him.
“I had many good performances, including five-fors in Tests but my most memorable performance was during our victory against India. It was a historical match and matches with India draw a big audience. Performing against India was a highlight for me in 2021. It was a great year for me and hopefully, you will see good performances in 2022 too,” said Shaheen Afridi as quoted by News18.

When India and Pakistan met in a high voltage clash on 24th October 2021 in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Shaheen Afridi ripped through the Indian batting lineup. The left-arm pacer scalped the wickets of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli to constantly put the pressure on the Indian batting lineup.
Afridi’s superb spell helped Pakistan decimate India by 10 wickets and post their first victory over the ‘Men in Blue’ in a limited-overs World Cup match. Shaheen Afridi has played 21 Tests, 28 ODIs, and 39 T20Is for the Pakistan side.
While he has taken 86 wickets in the whites, Afridi has scalped 53 batters in the ODI format of the game. In T20I cricket, the 21-year-old has taken 45 wickets. Afridi has also taken a total of 6 five-wicket hauls and 1 ten-wicket haul in his international career with the ball in hand.
