Shahid Afridi mocks Rashid Khan after he drops a sitter
Both players played for the ICC World XI against the Windies.
We witnessed another crackerjack of an encounter between World XI and Windies, where West Indies had too much firepower and managed to upstage the best XI convincingly. World XI skipper Shahid Afridi won the toss and ask the opposition to bat first. In the first innings, Shahid Afridi went on to mock Rashid Khan after the latter dropped a simple catch at the mid-wicket boundary.
Shahid Afridi bowled a short of half-length delivery and the batsman tried to smash it over mid-wicket which Afghanistan talisman leg-spinner Rashid was unable to spot the ball in the light as he gave an expression of the same. Afridi gave him a look asking what went wrong, to which 19-year old had no answers whatsoever.
Meanwhile, the encounter between two top quality sides happened to raise funds for the reconstruction of five damaged stadia of the Carribean. Moreover, the five stadiums were damaged by the Hurricane Irma and Maria that had hit the country, last year. The match took place at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s.
