Watch: Shahid Afridi takes a stunner against England: The English crowd cheered for Trescothick, as Saqlain Mushtaq had the ball in his hands. England needed 7 runs to win from 5 balls, but Pakistan still had hopes pinned, as England were 8 down for 236 on the board. With 7 to get from 5, Saqlain bowled one outside off, the line didn’t obey, as the umpire called it wide. England now needed 6 runs from 5 balls, but more importantly they had one extra ball in hand. Saqlain tossed the ball as the England’s southpaw went for a big one in the leg-side, Trescothick failed to connect while the ball went up in the air.

The ball got the elevation but not the distance, but it looked like it was going to safely fall in no man’s land. The camera turned sideways, as the spectators witnessed Shoaib Malik and Shahid Afridi coming in to take the catch. Both the fielders collided but Shahid Afridi managed to get hold of the ball, Shoaib Malik on the other hand went down in agony, as Trescothick went back to the pavilion. The collision resulted in a  carrier threatening shoulder injury, as Malik’s shoulder was fractured.
