Shakib Al Hasan having a tough time

Even as his personal life has been pretty smooth, his cricket career has had a lot of hurdles of late. Back in October 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) handed him a suspension and he could only return to cricket after October 2020. The same was because he failed to report three corrupt approaches made to him. He didn’t play the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as well.

He missed the tour of India and the series against Pakistan as well. Back in March, he turned 33 and had to celebrate his birthday alone as he was in a 14-day quarantine period. In a video on his Facebook page, Shakib said how he was devastated to spend the special day with his loved ones.

But he understood the importance of staying away due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Recently, he has been trying to help the ones in the pandemic situation through his foundation. Shakib also auction his special World Cup 2019 bat for taka 20 lakhs in order to raise funds for the needy.
