Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya and others respond to KL Rahul’s ‘Devi Prasad’ post with Athiya Shetty
Rahul's teammates trolled him with dialogues from the movie 'Hera Pheri.
KL Rahul’s fate for Team India has changed a wee bit in the last couple of months. Shikhar Dhawan got injured ahead of the T20I and ODI series versus the West Indies. It turned out to be a chance for Rahul and he grabbed it with both hands. He opened the batting with Rohit Sharma and performed to expectations. He was rewarded with a spot in the squad for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
Rohit Sharma, the Indian vice-captain, has taken a break and Rahul will be opening with Shikhar Dhawan. Another impressive series can create more headaches for the national selectors, surrounding the opening slot. The series versus the Lankans get underway on January 5 at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Rahul is mostly spending the break-time on social media.
KL Rahul shares picture with Athiya Shetty
Recently, he uploaded a picture with Athiya Shetty, his rumoured girlfriend. Apart from Athiya, Rahul has been linked with a number of actresses, including Sonam Bajwa, Nidhi Agerwal and Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor. However, in all the cases, Rahul has preferred to not disclose much. As far as the post with Athiya is concerned, he captioned it and wrote, “Hello, devi prasad….?”.
The dialogue is from the super-hit comedy, Hera Pheri, which also featured Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty. The movie also had the legendary Paresh Rawal, who used to receive calls by the name of ‘Devi Prasad’. The Bollywood movie released way back in March 2001 and after almost a couple of decades, the dialogues from the film remain to be popular.
After Rahul posted the picture, his teammates started churning out hilarious comments from ‘Hera Pheri’. Mayank Agarwal replied, “Rakh! Phone Rakh!! #Babubhaiya”. It was a dialogue Rawal said when he was being bombarded with calls.
Mandeep Singh wrote, “Kutreya saalya Dekh k number dial Kar”, another of renowned Rawal’s dialogues from the movie. Dhawan, who recently made his India comeback for the Lanka series, appreciated the post. He wrote, “Good one bro.” Hardik Pandya, who’s recovering from a back injury, called the post an adorable one, mentioning: “cuties”.
