Shikhar Dhawan's influence prompted Kane Williamson to change his look
Williamson is in India playing the IPL and decided to change his look.
New Zealand and Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson isn’t the person we’d associate with a lot of style, swag and flamboyance. Though he is an extremely attractive batsman who dominates the bowling he has a calm appearance and demeanour. He had cultivated quite a beard and we weren’t really sure where he would take it.
Today, he decided to get rid of it. Williamson shared a video on Instagram where he gives a good view into his beard and then dabs once he uncovers his face there’s a new look. The big beard is gone and has a much stylish and very subtle looking one in place now. He is looking a lot younger now, matches the flavour of the tournament he is playing right now.
In his post, the New Zealander also mentioned that it had a lot to do with his teammate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan, as we all know, has his own Punjabi swag and carries himself with a lot of flair. He is a left-hander and has the style, aggression and grace in his batting. He is an exceptionally likeable character and everyone in the Indian team, as well as Sunrisers, love the man.
Williamson mentioned that his teammate Dhawan was teaching him some Punjabi swag and that led him to try the first dab. He also changed his look with that and used #breakthebeard which was made popular by the Indian cricketers who changed their all beard look.
He captioned it: “Thoughts on my first dab? My Sunrisers team mate @shikhardofficial slowly teaching me some of the Punjabi swag. #BreakTheBeard goes international! #NewLook#dabneedswork#savedbythesong”
SRH at the top of the table
Sunrisers Hyderabad have been in tremendous form this season, the team has won three matches having played as many and with 6 points sits pretty on top of the table. Williamson’s men have clicked in all three departments of the game and are off to a great start.
