'So Gaya ye Jahan' - Shikhar Dhawan struggles to kill boredom during quarantine period before IPL 2020
Dhawan is set to make his comeback on the field after playing his last match on January 19.
With strict BCCI guidelines in place that includes several isolation periods, players are looking up for ways so that they can have a productive time. It will be mentally challenging for the players as well as officials of IPL 2020 to be at peace, and spend time wisely with so many guidelines on the table. Players will be locked in their rooms for at least 6 days after landing in UAE, and only after that, they will be able to set foot on the field.
They will also undergo several rounds of testing before starting their practice session outdoors, and being away from family for around 3 months, it’s expected to be difficult for them. Six franchises have already moved with their players to the Gulf country while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are also gearing up. As far as the Delhi Capitals (DC) are concerned, the squad has assembled in Mumbai for the mandatory quarantine and will fly for UAE in a day or two.
Even before landing in the host nation, Capitals’ explosive batsman Shikhar Dhawan is having quite a hard time while undergoing quarantine. In the latest video he shared on his Instagram account, the batsman can be seen moving helplessly here and there while “So Gaya ye Jahan” song is being played in the background. The song definitely points towards the monotony of the situation.
After roaming here and there in the video, the Delhi boy finally lays down in his relaxing position. He captioned his post and arote, “Quarantine before IPL”

Dhawan back to playing cricket
The 13th season of the Indian Premier League will mark the comeback of Dhawan to competitive cricket after the month of January. The southpaw has been suffering from too many injuries lately that kept him out of the cricket world. He was ruled out due to his shoulder injury before India’s tour of New Zealand, and a knee injury before that kept him out of the series against West Indies.
The World Cup 2019 also saw the exit of Dhawan, when he was ruled out due to a thumb injury. With new things coming up, the 34-year-old will now strive hard to push his team to lift their maiden IPL trophy this year.
