Over the past few months, young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh has significantly increased his level of confidence as a bowler. Arshdeep became a regular figure in India’s main roster in the shortest format as a result of his consistent efforts for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Be it the Asia Cup, or the bilateral series against South Africa, Arshdeep has showcased great intent.

India’s mainstay Jasprit Bumrah has been out in and out of the setup owing to his injury, and in his absence, Arshdeep Singh has emerged as the skipper’s go-to bowler. He has proven effective in the powerplay as well as the death overs. He’s a part of the main squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 which begins in Australia on October 16 and has been training with the Men in Blue ahead of the marquee event.

India played Western Australia on Thursday in their second exhibition game since arriving in Australia. Arshdeep, who was a part of India's Playing combination for the game, spotted a security guard run towards him holding a bat. It is said that a fan had sent the bat who requested the left-arm pacer's autograph on it.

Arshdeep agreed to sign the bat that was handed to him by a security guard. Even though Arshdeep's cricket career is only in its early stages, the bowler has already gained a large following. A video of Arshdeep signing the bat went viral, and the fan is heard saying “Thank you paaji (brother), love you. Legend.”

Arshdeep Singh- India's rising star

Speaking of Arshdeep Singh’s performances in the practice matches against Western Australia, the young pacer bagged three wickets in the first game, giving away just six runs in his three-overs spell. While defending the total, he struck early in just the second over and gave his side the crucial breakthrough, and contributed towards India’s win. In the second game, in which India lost, he managed to pick only one wicket while conceding 25 runs in three overs.
