'Parampara Pratishtha Anushaasan' - Pakistan fielders get trolled for dropping catches during Super 4 clash against India
Shubman Gill got a couple of lives by Pakistan.
India and Pakistan are locking horns in the Super 4 fixture of the Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, September 10 at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. After being put in to bat first, Indian openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma got their team off to an electrifying start as they put on a massive 121-run stand for the first wicket.
During their partnership, Pakistan fielders let down a couple of chances, the images of which have been going viral all over social media. During the second over of the game, Shaheen Afridi dropped Shubman Gill at third man. Furthermore, Gill got another life in the eighth over as he edged a delivery by Naseem Shah which went between the slip fielders who didn’t go for the catch. The image of the ball going between Iftikhar Ahmed and Agha Salman has been making rounds all over social media.
Notably, Pakistan fielders had a tough day in the field in the previous game against India as well where they gave away some easy runs. During that game, Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan made full use of the opportunities and forged a 138-run partnership which helped India get to 266 in the first innings.
Rain interrupts India vs Pakistan game again
Meanwhile, rain once again played spoilsport during the India vs Pakistan Super 4 fixture as the Indian innings was interrupted. After being put in to bat first, India were 147/2 after 24.1 overs with Virat Kohli (8* off 16) and KL Rahul (17* off 28) at the crease.

Earlier, the Indian opening duo of Rohit Sharma (56 off 49) and Shubman Gill (58 off 52) put on a massive 121-run partnership for the first wicket. The duo took on India’s nemesis Shaheen Afridi as Rohit made his intentions clear by flicking him for a six in the first over itself. Following that, Gill also smacked him for three boundaries in two overs consecutively stamping their authority on the Pakistan attack.
