Australian Women cricketer Jess Jonassen gets married to her best friend Sarah Gooderham
The couple tied the knot on April 6 in Hawaii.
Australia all-rounder Jess Jonassen shared images on her social media accounts on April 14, to announce her marriage to Sarah Gooderham. Notably, the couple got engaged in 2018 and vouched to get married in 2020, but due to COVID-19, the plans got postponed as they finally exchanged their vows on April 6, in Hawaii.
Notably, the 30-year-old was spotted wearing a white shirt and off-white pants while Sarah wore a white shirt and white pants with a grey blazer. Sharing the images, Jonassen talked about marrying her long-time best friend and also stated that April 6 will always hold a special place in her heart.
“SURPRISE!! 3rd time lucky - finally married my best friend. April 6th will always have a special place in my heart,” the caption read.
Meanwhile, famous presenter Neroli Meadows, who is currently a part of the IPL 2023 broadcast team, has already congratulated the new couple and so did Brisbane Heat, the team Jess plays for in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).

When it comes to the Women’s Premier League, the allrounder had an important role for Delhi Capitals in the inaugural edition of the tournament. In nine matches for the Meg Lanning-led side, Jess scored 79 runs and also picked up nine wickets in the process. She finished as the joint 10th leading wicket-taker of the tournament and also helped DC qualify for the finals of the tournament. However, on the big night, DC failed to step up with the bat as Mumbai Indians managed to win the WPL 2023.
Recently, the cricketer also signed her new contract with Cricket Australia. Even though the details of which have not been made public but it is understood that Jess has signed a marquee deal, given her availability throughout the season. Next up, she is expected to travel to England for The Ashes. The one-off Test will begin on June 22, while the T20I series will begin on July 1. Following this, the three-match ODI series will commence on July 12.
