'Can Afford Full Suit For Final' - Mayanti Langer slams trolls over her attire in indomitable style

Mayanti Langer is one of the most popular sports presenters in India. With bright speaking skills, her knowledge of the sport is commended by fans and experts all over the world. However, sometimes, a few people overlook her glorious talent and focus on something as trivial as the attire she is wearing.

One such instance surfaced in the ODI World Cup 2023 semi-final clash between India and New Zealand at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. A section of people on social media trolled Langer for her attire. The New Delhi-born paired a blue blazer with a skirt. Some even went to the extent of morphing an image of Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar and Langer. On the eve of the finals of the World Cup, Langer gave a befitting reply to the trolls in a witty post on her official 'X' handle.

"So moved by your genuine concern regarding budgets. Concerns that have me tagged in innumerable posts, my family and friends being inundated by images, some altered perhaps to play down the atrocity of a Blazer dress. Fear not, we can afford a full suit for the Final," she wrote on X, posting a picture of herself where she could be seen dressed in a suit.

India are set to face Australia in the finals of the ODI World Cup 2023 on Sunday, November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 'Men in Blue' made it to the summit clash by beating Kiwis by 70 runs. Australia, on the other hand, got the better of South Africa at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Thursday by three wickets in a low-scoring thriller. India and Australia met earlier in the round-robin phase of the tournament. Rohit Sharma's men emerged victorious by six wickets at Chepauk.
