CSK vs DC: Lalit Yadav’s one-handed stunner sends Ajinkya Rahane packing

The 55th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 featured a clash between the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and the David Warner-led Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday, May 10.
After winning the toss, Chennai came in to bat first and looked to notch up a big total on the scoreboard. However, the bowling attack of Delhi did well to limit the four-time champions during the early stages of the game. After the fall of the first wicket, veteran Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane came in to bat.
The 34-year-old has been in sensational form at the IPL 2023, having scored 255 runs in nine games in the ongoing tournament.Rahane looked to amass some important runs for Chennai, however, he only managed to score 21 runs in 20 deliveries before he was sent back to the pavilion by Lalit Yadav as he tried to play the delivery straight towards non-stiker Shivam Dube on the first ball of the 12th over. However, Lalit dived to take a stunning one-handed catch that even left the umpire dazzled.

1Delhi Capitals aim to register their fifth win
Coming into the game, the David Warner-led Delhi Capitals would be looking to register their fifth win of the IPL 2023. The side currently sits in 10th place in the IPL points table with eight points from 10 matches. They come into the game against Chennai after back-to-back wins against Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings sit in second place in the standings with 13 points in 11 games. Overcoming the Chepauk challenge could prove to be a big one for Delhi Capitals. However, David Warner would look to amass the confidence from their recent wins and push a strong case for a playoffs qualification.
