IND vs ENG: Jonny Bairstow, Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan involved in heated argument during final Test

In the fifth and final Test between India and England at Dharamsala, the match saw some heated exchanges between players on the field. Indian batters Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan were engaged in a verbal spat with England's Jonny Bairstow before the English batter got dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.

Gill tried to get under Bairstow's skin after the Englishman reminded him of being dismissed by veteran James Anderson earlier in the Test. "What did you say to Jimmy about getting tired, and he got you out after that?" Bairstow was referring to Gill's first innings dismissal after scoring 110 runs.

The 23-year-old Gill came back with a strong reply. "So what, it was after a hundred. How many have you got here?"

Bairstow then took a dig at Gill's record in English conditions, asking "How many have you got full stop"

The heated exchange didn't end there, as Sarfaraz Khan who was fielding at short leg also joined in the conversation, taunting Bairstow "Thora sa run kya bana liya zyada uchal rha hai (You've scored a few runs this series, why are you making so much noise)?"

Kuldeep Yadav has the final laugh

In the 18th over, Kuldeep Yadav trapped Bairstow and got him a leg-before wicket for 39 in the very next over after the England batter had looked dangerous, smashing three fours and three sixes. All three players were seen exchanging words when the English batter was walking to the pavilion.

Bairstow has had a disappointing tour as he has not even managed a single half-century, his highest score was in the fifth Test which is 39 runs.

With Bairstow's wicket, India is at a strong position having dismissed half the English batting lineup with a substantial lead already on the board. The hosts will be eyeing  to win the series by a 4-1 margin
