In the lead-up to the T20 World Cup 2024, the warm-up encounters between participating teams have served as an integral part of the buildup, amplifying anticipation for the prestigious tournament. Amidst the gradual influx of players alongside their national contingents and the meticulous logistical arrangements, the distinguished panel consisting of former cricketers and experts has unveiled their forecasts for the eventual finalists who will battle it out for supremacy on June 29 at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.

This panel comprises Brian Lara, Paul Collingwood, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Chris Morris, and Sreesanth, who had earlier made projections for the semi-finalists.

West Indian legend, Lara, and former English all-rounder, Collingwood, selected co-hosts, the West Indies, to advance to the finals, along with India and England, respectively. Meanwhile, former legendary openers, Gavaskar and Hayden, opted for India and Australia, respectively, echoing their preferences from the Cricket World Cup 2023 where the same teams had competed for the elusive title.

Former Indian pacer Sreesanth, renowned for his remarkable performance against Australia in the inaugural tournament's semi-final in 2007, also went along with Hayden's choice, the opponent he had famously dismissed by disturbing the well-set Hayden's timber just when the Aussies were seeming to be drifting away with the game. Adding a surprise element, former Proteas all-rounder, Chris Morris, sided with South Africa along with India.
