Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has turned 29 on Sunday, October 15, 2023. On his special day, he was greeted with warm wishes and congratulations from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and cricket fraternity, acknowledging his contribution to the game.
Moreover, in an adorable video that surfaced on social media, Hasan Ali's daughter Helena was seen wishing Babar on his birthday. Helena was seen waiting for the cricketer outside his hotel room with a bouquet. Babar was seen happy after seeing the kid as she gave the flowers and walked back. However, the cricketer called her aback and both shared a warm hug that melted the internet.

Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat against India on Babar Azam's birthday eve
The much-awaited clash between Pakistan and India in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 commenced at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14, Saturday. Pakistan suffered a humiliating seven-wicket loss against the archrivals, which saw their losing streak extended to 8-0 in ODI World Cups.
Speaking of the game, Pakistan were asked to bat first after losing the toss. Despite making a solid start, the Men in Green struggled in front of Indian bowlers as they were bundled out for a below-par 191 runs in just 42.5 overs. Babar Azam ended up as Pakistan's top scorer, amassing 50 off 58 deliveries, including seven boundaries. Meanwhile, for India, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja grabbed two scalps each.
India looked firm during the chase, despite losing the wicket of Shubman Gill (16) in the third over. Rohit Sharma led his side from the front, scoring a brilliant half-century. The India skipper smashed 86 off 63 balls before being dismissed by Shaheen Afridi. His knock was packed with six fours and as many sixes. Later Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 53 off 62 deliveries to help India chase down the target in 30.3 overs.
