'I wanna bowl to him' - Xara Jetly picks Virat Kohli as favorite batter to face
The 22-year-old off-spinner appeared on a podcast, where she spoke on other cricket-related happenings as well.
Star Indian batter, Virat Kohli, might be in the twilight of his career in terms of his cricketing outings, but not within the eyes of those who admire him the most. Much like other wizards of the game, it's unsurprising to say the least that his aura will remain intact with as bright a glow perpetually.
There've been countless instances where die-hard supporters have literally leaped barricades to run onto the field just to capture a moment with the modern-day cricketing great. While what Xara Jetly expressed on a recent podcast wasn't anywhere close to the hysterical act such as that mentioned above, she made her intentions crystal clear.
In a recent podcast in which she appeared in, one of the co-hosts asked Xara two cricketers whom she would like to bowl to from the women's and men's game, one each from each category.
"If you could bowl to any two cricketers; one from the men's game and the other from the women's, whom would you bowl to?," questioned the co-host of 'Fine Legs — The Cricket Podcast'.

While Xara seemed confused on whom to pick from the women's game, her choice from the men's game seemed premeditated, as she name-dropped Kohli as one batter whom she would want to bowl to. She even expressed getting a photo snapped with the dashing cricketer and putting it up on her Instagram as the ultimate moment for her.
"Yeah, this is really basic for me. I'd bowl to...the women's game is tougher, but in the men's game, I wanna bowl to Virat Kohli. If I could take a photo with Virat Kohli and put it on Instagram, that would be the GOAL," exclaimed Xara.

Coming to Xara's expeditions on the field, she last featured for the 2023/24 edition of the New Zealand Cricket Women's One-Day Competition for Wellington Women. The charming off-break bowler mesmerized with her on-field performances as well, as she ended up with 17 wickets in 11 matches at a frugal economy rate of 3.71.
