In a peculiar incident during the ongoing International League T20, a fan ran away with the ball after Dan Mousley from MI Emirates hit the ball for a six that landed outside the Sharjah Cricket ground in a match against Desert Vipers. The incident occurred during the 18th over when Mousley hit the Vipers’ bowler Matheesha Pathirana for a six onto the streets.
The fan outside the stadium took the ball as the memento and went away after showing it to the car passing by. In the 19th over, Kieron Pollard also hit a 104-meter six off Tom Curran out of the park. However this time, some other fan was seen throwing the ball back to the stadium.

What happened in the match?
MI posted a mammoth total of 241 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their 20 overs. Andre Fletcher (50 off 39) and Muhammad Waseem (86 off 44) got the team off to a flying start with an opening partnership of 141 runs in 12.3 overs. Later Pollard (50 off 19) and Mousley (31 off 17) gave the finishing touches adding unbeaten 89 runs for the fourth wicket.
Desert Vipers were nowhere close to the MI’s total as they got bowled out for just 84 runs in 12.1 overs losing the game by a huge margin of 157 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi led the bowling chart with 3 wickets in his three overs conceding 13 runs. Imran Tahir and Zahoor Khan shared a couple of scalps each, while Trent Boult, Dwayne Bravo, and Dan Mousley picked one each.
However, this loss doesn’t affect the Vipers much as they remain in the second position in the points table. Meanwhile, MI Emirates have jumped to the third position after the big win.
