Adidas, the official kit sponsors of Team India, are all set to reveal the highly anticipated India cricket World Cup jersey. Cricket enthusiasts and fans of the Men in Blue can tune in to Adidas' official YouTube channel at 7:30 PM today to witness this grand event.
In an extraordinary tribute to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 being hosted in the cricketing powerhouse, India, Adidas has given the traditional ODI jersey a stunning makeover. Gone are the iconic three white stripes on the shoulders, now replaced by the vibrant hues of the Indian tricolour. Notably, the revered BCCI logo now prominently boasts two glittering stars, symbolising India's historic ODI World Cup triumphs in 1983 and 2011.
Adding an extra layer of excitement to this cricketing extravaganza, Adidas has teamed up with Indian rap sensation Raftaar to create a special World Cup song. Furthermore, the campaign video promises to be a visual treat for fans, featuring cricketing stalwarts such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav, all in the company of passionate Indian cricket aficionados.

The backdrop of the Indian Jersey
The jersey's design is the creation of Aaquib Wani, a talented young individual born and currently based in Delhi. Aaquib is a designer who has gained experience by collaborating closely with various brands, including Adidas, which happens to be the official kit sponsor for Team India.
Adidas secured a substantial deal with the Indian cricket team, amounting to a whopping 350 crore rupees for a five-year duration, which commenced this June and is set to continue until the end of March 2028. As part of this agreement, Adidas is obligated to pay 65 lakh rupees for each match that the Indian team participates in. The total annual expenditure under this arrangement is estimated to be approximately 70 crore rupees when factoring in royalties from merchandise sales.
