Gujarat Titans' veteran Indian pacer Mohit Sharma became the latest entrant of the 100-wicket club after he claimed his 100th IPL wicket during his side's clash against bottom dwellers Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He reached the milestone after dismissing Ripal Patel on the penultimate delivery of the first innings.

David Warner's Delhi Capitals were shell-shocked by Mohammed Shami's breathtaking spell with the new ball in the powerplay as they lost half their side inside the first six overs of the match. But the visitors made a decent comeback after a 50-run partnership between an in-form Axar Patel and Aman Hakim Khan.

However, veteran Indian pacer Mohit Sharma threw a spanner in Delhi's plans of posting a competitive total after dismissing Axar in his very first over of the match. The 34-year-old pacer from Haryana was a bit expensive in his second and third over of the match but made amends with a miserly fourth over, where he dismissed the dangerous Ripal Patel to claim his 100th IPL wicket. He is now just two wickets behind legendary Indian pacer Zaheer Khan's tally of wickets in the IPL.
