IPL 2024: MS Dhoni spotted with ice pack on leg after breathtaking knock against Delhi Capitals
MS Dhoni scored 37* runs in 16 deliveries against Delhi Capitals.
Former Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni lit the stage on fire when his side took on Delhi Capitals in the 13th game of the tournament at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, on Sunday, March 31.
Delhi Capitals posted a target of 192 runs for CSK to chase, and at the lower end of the batting order, former skipper MS Dhoni turned back the clock. Scoring 37* runs in 16 deliveries. However, his knock proved to be in vain, as Chennai eventually lost the game by 20 runs.

After the game, it was Dhoni’s long-standing leg injury that caught the eye of the fans. The 42-year-old was seen giving tips to Delhi Capitals’ youngsters and was seen with an ice pack on his left leg.
Chennai Super Kings suffer first loss of IPL 2024
The clash between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings caused some shufflings in the IPL 2024 standings. Losing the game by 20 runs, the five-time champions no longer hold first place in the tournament’s standings. After the loss, Chennai now sit in second place in the standings with four points in two matches, with the unbeaten Kolkata Knight Riders occupying first place.

As for Delhi Capitals, the win was the side’s first of the season. Led by Rishabh Pant, DC made the jump to seventh place in the standings as they have two points in three matches and a net run rate of -0.016.
Regarding their upcoming assignments, Chennai Super Kings will now travel to the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 18th game of the tournament on Friday, April 5. On the other hand, will be taking on table toppers Kolkata Knight Riders next in Vizag in the 16th game of the IPL 2024 on Wednesday, April 3.
