IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match - Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals, Match 17

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clashed against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 17th match of IPL 2025 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Saturday, April 5. The home team lost an early wicket of Rachin Ravindra off the last ball of the second over while chasing 184.

DC pacer Mukesh Kumar grabbed a stunning catch while being on his follow-through. It was a short of a length delivery on the leg stump, and Rachin looked to play it on leg side but couldn't. There was a slight edge on the bat, and the ball went straight to the bowler, who was quick enough to catch the ball.

It was an important wicket because Ravindra is in terrific form. However, wickets kept falling for CSK after his dismissal. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad followed him to the pavilion for just five runs. CSK's batting looks extremely weak, as they failed to chase down the target.

Earlier in the match, KL Rahul's 77-run knock helped DC put up a good total on the board. Khaleel Ahmed was the star bowler for CSK, claiming two wickets in four overs. He was the only economical bowler in the team, conceding just 25 runs. Important 20s from Sameer Rizvi, captain Axar Patel, and Tristan Stubbs' helped Rahul anchor the innings at the other end.

For CSK, Vijay Shankar (69 off 54) and MS Dhoni (30 off 26) formed an unbroken 84-run partnership off 57 balls. The CSK chase was going nowhere despite this long partnership as the home team lost the match by 25 runs.
