IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – RR vs GT, Match 47
Shimron Hetmyer made amends for an earlier dropped catch with a superb grab at the business end of the first innings.
Shimron Hetmyer executed a stunning running grab to get rid of Washington Sundar during Match 47 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 28. Sundar was dismissed for 13 off eight deliveries courtesy of this brilliant take by the Caribbean cricketer.
A slower delivery by Sandeep Sharma was miscued by Sundar off the bottom part of the bat. The ball was sliced in the air, and was expected to fall just beyond the 30-yard circle near mid-off. Hetmyer charged in from deep extra-cover to hang onto the catch. It was a commendable effort from the pro cricketer who covered a lot off ground, all while Yudhvir Singh running from wide cover.

2GT ended their innings on 209/4. It was RR who won the toss and opted to field first. Skipper, Shubman Gill, top-scored with 84 to his name. Wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler ended up unbeaten on 50 off 26 balls.
Gill launches Yudhvir for two blazing maximums on leg side
Other than Maheesh Theekshana and Sandeep Sharma, all the other bowlers from RR were dispatched by the GT batters. Theekshana ended up with a two-wicket haul to his name. Yudhvir conceded 38 runs in his three overs, whereas Jofra Archer gave away 49 in his four-over quota.
