[Watch] IPL 2025: KL Rahul's 'Achha hua out ho gaya' reply to Virat Kohli after RCB defat DC, video goes viral
Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated DC to secure their seventh win of IPL 2025, as Kohli scored 51 off 47.
The recent IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium saw a friendly banter between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul post the RCB side defeated the home team by six wickets on Sunday, April 27.
During RCB’s chase of 163, a heated moment between Kohli and Rahul caught attention. With Kohli batting and Rahul behind the stumps, the two Indian teammates engaged in an exchange. Former spinner Piyush Chawla later explained that Kohli was annoyed with DC taking extra time to set their field, while Rahul mentioned potential slow over-rate penalties.
Kohli, playing in his hometown, played a knock of 51 off 47 balls, and with Krunal Pandya's unbeaten 73, the duo stitched a match-winning 119-run partnership to ease out the chase. However, Kohli couldn’t stay till the end, falling to Dushmantha Chameera with 18 runs left.
After the match, a funny moment took place between the two. In a video shared by Delhi Capitals, the 36-year-old revealed he had planned a ‘Kantara’ celebration, mocking Rahul’s famous gesture after DC's win at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
“Pata hai, maine kya socha tha, match khatam karunga, yeh karunga (Kantara celebration), fir aake tere ko hug karunga. Inko nahi pata hai naa off-the-field kaisa hai. (You know what I thought, I'll finish the match, do this (Kantara celebration) - and then will come to you to hug you. These guys don't know how we are off-the-field.” Kohli said. To which Rahul replied, "yahi bol rha that mai, achha hua out ho gaya. (That's what I was telling him, good you got out)."
Despite Kohli’s dismissal, RCB comfortably crossed the finish line, thanks to Tim David’s 19* off 5 balls. With the win, RCB climbed up to the top of the points table. The side will now take on arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings in their next game on 03 May. Meanwhile, DC finds themselves in the fourth position with 12 points and are scheduled to take on Kolkata Knight Riders on April 29.
