The iconic Wankhede Stadium was all set for the thrilling IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) game between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The fans might have expected an exciting match full of big hits, but the first innings turned out to be one where the batters struggled.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad were put in to bat by the Mumbai Indians, and though there were some starts from the likes of Abhishek Sharma (40 off 28 deliveries) and Travis Head (28 off 29 deliveries) early on, they could not convert those into big scores. The only batters who added some substance to the innings were Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma, who played some impactful cameos to get the side to a respectable total of 162 in the end.

The Mumbai Indians' bowlers were in top form in this game, as all of them stuck to their lines and lengths and kept the brakes on the explosive SRH batting line-up. Although there were two expensive overs from Deepak Chahar and Hardik Pandya, who bowled the 18th and 20th overs respectively, it was a great performance from the bowling attack overall. While Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah bowled economical spells, it was Will Jacks who was the pick of the bowlers for MI, ending with figures of 2/14 from the three overs he bowled.
