‘IPL teams can pick you from there’ - Rishabh Pant on importance of Delhi Premier League
South Delhi Strikerz defeated Purani Dilli 6 by three wickets in the opening game.
Star India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant believes that the Delhi Premier League could be a big opportunity for the domestic cricketers to prove themselves and get into the scheme of things for the Indian Premier League. The 26-year-old recently joined Purani Dilli 6 and stated that he is excited about the opportunity and wants other players to feel the same and capitalize on it.
Pant believes that each and every player will get a huge boost if they make big in the tournament. He also wants the players to have fun, enjoy themselves and learn from the players around them to make a mark in the tournament.
“I think I am really excited because I feel on ground level this is a very big opportunity for players who don't get that recognition in IPL. I think when people see you playing in these kinds of leagues, I think they can pick you from there. It's a big boost for each and every player and hopefully they will learn from the people around them and hopefully they do well and have lots of fun,” Pant said in a video released by Dilli 6 on Instagram.
