The couple announced the birth of their daughter through social media.
India pace bowling sensation Ishant Sharma and his wife Pratima Singh were all-delighted, as they announced the birth of their newly-born baby girl on Friday, November 03. For obvious reasons, both of them are super-excited, as they've become parents for the first time.
Both of them took to Instagram and shared their joy and happiness with the world after the birth. Roughly a couple of months back, the power couple even hosted a baby shower program to spill the beans on Pratima's pregnancy, and that they would be welcoming a new life soon.
“A new baby girl, a world of wonder, hope, and dreams all wrapped in pink. 💕👶❤️🧿 We’re overjoyed to introduce the newest member of our family,” wrote the couple on their Instagram.

Ishant Sharma on a break from cricket
The ace pacer has been away from professional cricket for quite some time now. He was last seen during the Indian Premier League's 2023 edition, where he bowled some impactful spells for his side, Delhi Capitals. In eight outings for the David Warner-led side, the New Delhi-born scalped ten wickets with the ball in his hands and gave away runs at an economy of 8.24.
Speaking of his international appearance, he last played a Test match against New Zealand in a home series in Kanpur, back in November 2021, marking a 24-month hiatus from his India representation. A few months before his most recent outing, he added a feather to his cap by becoming just the third pacer after the likes of Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan to claim 300 wickets in the red-ball format.
The veteran pacer will be seen representing his state side in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 for the upcoming domestic season. His performances will be key, as impressive spells might give him a national comeback.
