'It's Between You and Me' - Rohit Sharma shares heartwarming moment with young fan in Trinidad ahead of second Test
India take on the West Indies in the second Test of the series from July 20.
With the multi-format series between the West Indies and India well underway, the visitors registered a massive victory in the first Test of the series, winning the game by an innings and 141 runs and establishing their dominance. Giving the fans just what they needed, team India put forth a sensational performance to kick off the series in a perfect way.
With the second Test of the series right around the corner, the entire team was captured engaging and interacting with their fans. Taking to Twitter, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) shared a clip where several Indian stars were seen interacting with the fans, signing merchandise, and clicking pictures.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was a part of the fan interaction as well. In the clip, the veteran opener is seen sharing a heartwarming moment with a young fan. Rohit was given a hand-written greeting card by the young fan, which he then opened to read the content inside.
Furthermore, the 36-year-old ensured that he would not show what was written on the card to anyone, and only he was going to read it. "Ah Nice… I’m looking inside, not showing it to anyone. It’s between you and me," Rohit said.
The clip of the wholesome moment has been doing rounds across social media. "Memories to savour, Smiles, selfies, autographs in plenty for lucky #TeamIndia fans in Trinidad, the BCCI captioned the post.
Rohit Sharma aims to replicate first Test performance
With the second Test against the West Indies right around the corner, the Indian team will be keen on putting forth a similar performance to that of the first Test and registering another big win to clinch the two-match series.
A lot will depend on India’s top order and Rohit Sharma's performance. In the first Test, the 36-year-old completed a brilliant century, scoring 103 runs in 221 deliveries. His knock was crucial for India in registering a mammoth win.
